Additional Information
Jetties and piers are fixed walkways generally for mooring boats. They are suited for bodies of water or terrain that is far away from shore, shallow, rocky or otherwise unsuited for a floating pontoon.
Traditionally, jetties are built with timber piles, headstocks, bearers and decking. These all timber structures require regular maintenance and have a limited design life due to the durability issues of timber in the harsh marine environment.
With durability in mind, MDS Marine has developed prefabricated aluminium jetty structures that are low maintenance and have a rapid installation time with minimal work required on site.
Low maintenance decking options including FRP Minimesh and plastic timber composites.
Traditional aesthetic of Hardwood decking is also possible.
